Built on solid academic roots, the Centre for Stem Cell Biology also has a track record for successful interaction with business and industry. The current management team have significant experience of both collaborative industrial R&D in an academic environment as well as experience as Directors of spin-out biotech companies.

A wide range of research and testing services can be accessed through the Centre and we are particularly keen to participate through funding schemes (e.g. LINK, KTP, Industrial Case) which specifically enable business and industry to access the Centre’s R & D resources.

We are committed to supporting the development of stem cell medicine in the UK and to provide resources to business and industry which will underpin their ongoing commercial developments.

The CSCB currently has access to state of the art proteomic and genomic facilities and is experience din a wide range of analytical sciences related to the identification and characterisation of stem cells. The Centre is currently expanding its research capacity through the development of new GMP accredited laboratories for the production of human ES cells.
