Clinical Stem Cells: How do we progress?

The Centre for Stem Cell Biology is pleased to announce a new one day course for its 2008 program, in partnership with the UK Stem Cell Bank, aimed at assisting advanced researchers and small start-up companies to navigate the regulatory minefield and build quality into their products.

Draft Course Outline

Session 1: 10am -12.30pm

  1. What are the standards and regulations? (Zoë Hewitt, QA Manager CSCB)
  1. Clean rooms: Design, Validation & Monitoring (Stephen Ward, Technical Director, Validair (Euro) Ltd)
  1. Open Discussion

Lunch

Session 2: 1:30pm - 4pm

  1. Principles of Quality Management (Penny Carter, QA Manager, NIBSC)
  1. Auditing (Penny Carter, QA Manager, NIBSC)
  1. Documentation (Zoë Hewitt, QA Manager CSCB)
  1. Open Discussion
  1. Closing remarks (Glyn Stacey, Director UK SCB).

Registration Details

Numbers are limited and early registration is advised. The fee is £250, with a reduced rate available for academic participants. Delegate packs, including speaker presentations, lunch and coffee breaks are all provided.
